It is a 1956 model. It is still on a 6 volt system but it is not currently fitted with a dynamo. Dave has also advertised the bike on ‘Car & Classic’, and, I assume, the VMCC Journal.
Dave has advertised the machine at £3,000. It starts easily, is easy to put on the centre stand, as I witnessed myself yesterday when I took the pictures.The engine has been reconditioned and the barrel been re-sleeved to Std.The engine is oil tight.It has an aluminium head.
Could I ask VMCC Secretaries and officials (and even ex-officers!) to circulate this email to their respective members and colleagues in case anyone is seeking a reliable old British machine.
